Note: Give your answers in decimal form out to 6 decimal points.

Find four consecutive odd integers such that
the sum of the second and the third
is greater than the fourth.

The four consecutive integers are

N =

N + 2 =

N + 4 =

N + 6 =

Example:
Find four consecutive odd integers such that the sum of
the second and third is 7 greater than the fourth.

Solution: Assign the consecutive integers as:
N, N + 2, N + 4, and N + 6

This can be written in shorthand form as:
(N + 2) + (N + 4) = (N + 6) + 7
Adding N's and subtracting 6 gives
N = 7

The consecutive integers are 7, 9, 11, and 13.
