The amount of Nitrogen and Oxygen that is in the room is measued.
The amount of Nitrogen by mass outnmbers the Oxygen by percent.
If there are kilograms of Nitrogen (N2) in the room,
how many kilograms of Oxygen (O2) are in the room?
This statement can be written in shorthand form as:

click refresh (F5)

The oxygen O2 = kilograms.

Example:

Suppose you have a box of 80 marbles. (see figure below)

50 percent more marbles are added to the box. How many marbles are now in the box.

Solution: 50 percent is written as click refresh (F5)

and thus 50 percent more marbles added gives: click refresh (F5) marbles

Try this solution by entering (1 + 50/100)80 into the Graphing Calculator in the Function f(x) = box .
Click on the Plot Graph button.
The answer will appear below the Function f(x)=box as f(x) = 120
